Care from Qualified Professionals

Each instaClinic is staffed by caring, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants. They share the instaClinic mission to provide easy access to exceptional care, with an emphasis on promoting wellness and treating the whole person.

Nurse practitioners perform physical examinations, treat illnesses and prescribe medication. They work in a collaborative practice with physicians. To become a Family Nurse Practitioner, a registered nurse must complete a master of science in nursing (MSN) and successfully pass a national certification exam. All nurse practitioners maintain certification through proof of ongoing continuing education and practice as regulated by the State Board of Nursing and the national credentialing organization.

Physician assistants perform physical examinations, treat illnesses and prescribe medication. They practice under supervision agreements with physicians. Physician assistants are educated in intensive programs accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). Physician assistants are required to take ongoing continuing medical education classes and are retested on their clinical skills periodically. They may have a bachelors or masters degree.

If you need care beyond what our nurse practitioners or physician assistants can provide, they'll refer you to your primary care physician or a qualified specialist or facility.
